Imtiaz v Dan 1,

Here is a match between two lads of very similar build in both height & weight. They are in similar attire too with Imtiaz wearing black and green striped trunks and Dan in black ones with a blue & white side panel to his right. This is a matroom multiple submission match of around 30 minutes duration and the boys lock up without delay to get stuck in. Early advantage is with Imtiaz - but by the time I’ve typed those words Dan has countered and then Imtiaz regains dominance. And so it goes, back and forth, and back and forth. The action continues in a competitive spirit and increases in intensity as one of the wrestlers brings his fists and, shortly after, knees into play driving into his opponents’ side within 3 minutes of the start. It’s to no avail as his opponent comes back to take the first score moments later and a second follows within another two minutes. The restart is rather noisier as the now trailing wrestler tries to assert himself by taking the leader into a choke hold. It’s effective and earns him his first score. Dan goes in for a bit of heavy leverage on Imtiaz’s leg in the next session with Imtiaz returning the favour a few moments after. This is getting warmer and the soundtrack is appealing as they both take turns in registering exertion and consequential pain. Look out for the 13 minute mark as Imtiaz takes Dan into a choke hold and smiles in satisfaction. It doesn’t last as Dan is soon back in contention with one more or his kicking sessions which wrings another score out of Imtiaz. The bodies may be lean and smooth but the action is not, it’s heavy and hairy with lots of back and forth aggression with a nice bit of verbal exchanging to punctuate the panting and groaning. There is quite a bit of punching employed by both boys on occasions as things continue to heat up yet Dan often resorts to kicking his way forward. If you like the lighter weights and stiff competition done on the mat then this will be for you. How does the match play out? You’ll have to buy it to see! Imtiaz v Jack 1

This is the debut appearance for Jack but Imtiaz is very much a regular. Once more we have two wrestlers who are of similar build. Jack is a little shorter than Imtiaz but both are tall and slim. They both wear “speedo” style briefs/trunks Jacks being plain blue whilst Imtiaz has olive green ones with yellow and orange trim. The action takes place within the usual blue mat room and exceeds 30 minutes’ duration being filmed over a number of rounds each of which ends with a submission. The match is in progress as we join but, I think, for only a matter of a couple of seconds. This encounter starts with energy as the boys almost dance around the room. Jack may be aware of Imtiaz’s reputation and ability and seems to be trying to keep hold of his wrists as a defence. It works – for a while until the wily Imtiaz gains the upper hand or, more accurately, leg! Jack flails around to escape but eventually Imtiaz moves from the leg hold and applies a body scissors on Jack. This literally, and metaphorically, calms things down. Jack does succeed in getting away after a few moments and they break. When they re-connect Jack employs his wrist holding technique again with similarly short live success as Imtiaz finds his way through again. Again they break. The third lock up is very different as Jack quickly gets top side and has Imtiaz on his knees and in a, sort of, choke hold. Jack takes Imtiaz, crouching, face down to the mat where he keeps him for quite a while as Imtiaz seems powerless to combat this move. This is getting interesting and I’m sure we are warming to Jack! The hold appears to end with Jack deciding to release and they break again. On restart there seems to be a bit of steel in Imtiaz’s demeanour. Jack raises his game to match and drops Imtiaz onto the mat and appears to claw his face. Jack’s penalty for this assault is to receive a very aggressively applied body scissors which produces loud cries of pain before he taps out. The next sessions are very much a too and fro tussle as first one and then the other inches ahead. It is an intriguing contest and Jack is doing very well to stay with his experienced foe. He takes Imtiaz down and applies his own aggressive body scissors and it is Imtiaz turn to cry out in pain. After much writhing and effort Imtiaz now taps out too. How does the match resume? Yes, you’ve guessed it! The wrist holding is back. Imtiaz appears a little amused by Jacks tactic and soon has him in a grovit. Imitaz takes Jack to the mat and switches to a waist hold which Jack quickly escapes from. I can’t help thinking that Imtiaz was in error there and should have held the grovit longer as a weakener. This has become even more interesting and Jack has progressed well from his timorous start. Will the progression continue? Will Imtiaz show his seniority and put Jack in his place or is there an upset ahead? You’ll have to but it to see! LC v Lewis 1

This is the debut appearance for both these boys and what a contrast in appearance they make. LC is rather the shorter, he’s of stocky build with a tanned complexion and a few tattoo’s. Lewis is rather tall, very slim and of pale complexion. They wear, however, similar gear. Well similar in so far as both sport square cut trunks. LC in blue with yellow decals and Lewis in white with black detailing and horizontal vented slits at the sides – interesting! The match takes place within the usual blue mat room and exceeds 30 minutes’ duration being filmed over a number of rounds each of which ends with a submission. This encounter starts with a handshake - willingly from both participants. Early advantage is with LC who immediately shows us he is able to move seamlessly from move to move - he looks experienced in his craft. LC rolls Lewis into a boston crab but doesn’t quite give it sufficient pressure to illicit a score and Lewis is free again, they shake again. Is this going to be a fair and close contest? The YouTube clip of this match gained much praise for the varying attributes of these two and an early demonstration of what people praised comes around 3:30 when LC takes Lewis into a head scissors. This is firmly applied with LC’s firmly muscled thighs and has Lewis gasping and writhing to escape. Lewis succeeds in getting free in a, surprisingly quick 30 seconds or so but LC is even quicker in regaining control and Lewis is the first to tap out after about 5½ minutes of the match. The match restarts with another quick handshake and then we’re off. LC is looking confident as he takes Lewis’s head under his armpit but Lewis has designs on LC’s knees and soon has the muscle boy down on the mat and heading for a boston crab of his own. It’s more successful though and LC now taps out to make honours even. The next period begins with another handshake – it’s going well! A reciprocated waist hold produces a stale mate but LC releases and goes behind for a full nelson but, lo, Lewis knows that trick too! Their handsome features and good dentistry is displayed in turn. There now follows a period of to and fro action which is shared fairly equally between the two. Things are warming up literally and metaphorically. As they begin to perspire Lewis may regret his choice of kit! This period ends with LC taping out and allowing Lewis into the lead. As they come together again and move around the room Lewis actually turns his back on LC. This could be considered a bit cocky as he’s only leading by 2 to 1 but LC does not take this opportunity to attack. Indeed it is Lewis who appears to have the upper hand at this stage and quickly has LC down on the mat and elicits another tap out. This makes it 3 to Lewis and 1 to LC if I’m counting it correctly. Well that’s about the half way mark and, as far as I can tell, the whole match is filmed without any edit breaks. The wall clock lends veracity to that statement. This is testament to the director and participants. So, will Lewis maintain the advantage over an opponent who, to me anyway, seems to have superior physicality and technique? Imtiaz v Lewis 2

The popular Imtiaz returns to the blue room, after a one match absence, whilst new boy Lewis remains in the blue room following his match against LC. At least that’s what it looks like to me! Lewis retains his “interesting” white and black perforations and Imtiaz is clad in dark blue with gold flashes. This is a match over 30 minutes with multiple submissions. The filming starts with the action already under way and, unusually I feel, with Imtiaz back to canvas. This is a very different Lewis from the one we saw in his only other match. He exudes confidence, exerts control and even wears a smile throughout this section as he levers Imtiaz around the room. Surprisingly he even makes Imtiaz the first to tap out a submission after a mere two minutes. They retreat to corners and resume enthusiastically. Wait a moment; that wall clock is indicating a different scenario to that which I outlined above! The time is earlier than it was when Lewis faced LC so this must have been filmed first. Maybe that accounts for the more energetic action from Lewis here. He would have been tired when facing a fresh LC later on. My apologies for the error – anyway, back to the action. Early initiative is again with Lewis as he pulls Imtiaz’s head forward and locks his right arm under the chin of his hapless opponent. Lewis leans back to apply upward pressure and exhibits the strain facially. Imtiaz is, however, an experienced combatant and, after escaping, quickly extracts an equalising submission as Lewis is trapped between him and the conveniently placed wall! They go to their corners. When they come to centre Imtiaz is the smiley happy person. He’s the bouncier of the two whilst Lewis’s shoulders have dropped and rounded – perhaps he’s now feeling falling behind a foregone conclusion. They circle for few seconds as Imtiaz eyes Lewis for an opening. Imtiaz hands and arms are held high in readiness whilst Lewis’s hands hang loose by his sides – he looks ill prepared for a fight. No! He’s feigning it as he suddenly whips the feet from under Imtiaz and has him back to canvas again. There’s a few moments tussle as Lewis presses and Imtiaz scissors but, then, Imtiaz makes Lewis submit again and takes a two to one advantage. After a brief break in the filming we are back to find them seated, back to back with arms linked at the elbows. Imtiaz pulls the stronger but that only succeeds in bringing Lewis up and over him until they are a messy mass of entwined limbs in the corner of the room. Lewis goes for Imtiaz’s head again. He wears a very determined and grimacing visage are he rolls Imtiaz to another corner . We know Imtiaz is impervious to pain and he keeps up his defence by locking legs again until he forces himself and his foe apart. This is a very spirited match from both boys but Lewis is showing the stronger and is exhibiting a flair for the aggressive, yet sporting, action. This comes as some surprise to Imtiaz and, I think, to us the audience. Let’s hope this entertaining contest remains just that. The scores come relatively frequently, so much so that is difficult to keep score. How does the match play out? You’ll have to buy it to see! Imtiaz v LC 1

Here we have the third of three matches recorded on the same afternoon/evening. Here Imtiaz returns for his second match of the day and now faces LC who earlier wrested against Lewis. LC is making only his second W4aF appearance to date. LC retains his blue squares with yellow decals and Imtiaz remains in dark blue with gold flashes. They have different body types with Imtiaz being tall and lean, with good leverage, and LC being stocky and muscular. This is a match over 30 minutes with multiple submissions. The filming starts with the wrestlers approaching centre and shaking hands. The initial collar & elbow tie up is almost a 50/50 affair which Imitaz seems to be winning but LC suddenly has him down on his back only to find Imtiaz seamlessly engaging him in a body scissors. A body scissors which gives Imtiaz the first score with only one minute expired. The second session is spent largely on the mats as the boys grapple in traditional style. LC offers us a couple of opportunities to admire the font on the back of his trunks. What? You weren’t looking at the font? No, me neither. Imtiaz is back to canvas just about all through but still manages to come out on top as LC taps out to a variation of an armlock. LC comes back out for the third round looking absolutely determined that Imtiaz will not get a straight hat-trick. He quickly takes Imtiaz down but finds his efforts somewhat thwarted by a series of very effective defence poses that shut down his attempts to lock on a scissors of his own. LC has to resort to picking up the “planked” Imtiaz and dropping him to the floor. Imtiaz retaliates by getting LC into a scissors and armlock combination but the resolute LC powers out. This is a good technical tussle and we are seeing two very competent and competitive wrestlers. Watch out for Lewy almost break dancing as he rotates to escape an ankle lock. The time on the mat is broken by a bit of vertical action around 8¼ minutes in as they go for a little walk around – although still locked together as LC has Imtiaz’s head under his armpit. Ultimately, LC is disappointed in this round too as he is forced to tap a third time. There is a sheen of sweat on both bodies now, but noticeably more so on LC, as they engage for the fourth session. Imtiaz has been playing the long game here I think by making LC work hard whilst blocking his efforts with much less exertion. “He doesn’t give up easily, does he” says a smiling LC. Imtiaz has a legendary ability to keep going and here he is doing just that against a foe who has a similar level of technical ability. They are fairly equally matched, despite the score, and it will be interesting to see if LC can come back. After another period of mat grappling I’m pleased to see that he does as Imtiaz gives. Another equally enthusiastic grapple sees LC triumph again to make the score three to Imtiaz and 2 to LC. We’re about half way through now and the next session starts with a quick handshake. It’s good to see. Both boys work hard in this period with the sweat making it difficult to get purchase. It’s a frenetic and scrappy affair and, to me, the better for being so. We see a progress in this match up – it’s not all the same stuff. Even the cameraman adopts a more mobile methodology this time! A brief respite comes as LC kneels in receipt of yet another body scissors but presses his clenched fists into Imtiaz’s solar plexus. Whilst they both pant LC sees he’s getting nowhere with that and decides on some leg action that quickly gives him the equalising score. How does the match play out? You’ll have to buy it to see! Imtiaz v Tiger 1

Wrestle4aFee “rings” the changes here with a match in a ring! Hopefully you’ll appreciate a different venue as this is the first of four matches filmed here. There are four wrestlers involved and we see two of them here. This is match number nine on the website and Imtiaz has appeared in all but number 6. Not that I’m complaining! His opponent today, Tiger, is making his debut but you may know that he is an experienced pro wrestler seen far and wide. This should be an interesting pairing. Imtiaz I won’t describe again as I’m sure you all know him. Tiger is rather taller and heavier and I suppose Mr Kent Walton would have announced it as a catch-weight meeting. Confusingly they both wear predominantly black apparel. Yes, I know, it’s not that confusing really! To help anyone who IS easily confused Imtiaz wears speedo style with grey and white side flashes. Tiger has squares and a lot of tattoos. A comment on Youtube praises Imtiaz for not indulging. Tattoos are not to everyone’s taste and, I must admit, not to mine. That’s not to be judgmental about people who choose ink but merely to state a valid opinion. Would a sculptor or a stonemason choose to put graffiti on a piece of their work? I think not – to me it’s rather like vandalism but “each to their own”. To further aid recognition Tiger has black wrist tapes and, further down, a very obvious difference is that Imtiaz is barefoot but Tiger wears trainers. Personally I find differences in gear rather distracting and, well, annoying – make a decision! I’m complaining a lot today aren’t I? Right shut up and get on with it! This is a match of just over 30 minutes and is decided by multiple submissions. The action, as mentioned, is within a wrestling ring this time so we should see some different kinds of moves. As the wrestlers meet in the centre for the first time they shake hands and Tiger very quickly takes Imtiaz down to the mat and there they stay for about a minute – Imtiaz taps out for the first time. The second session also starts with a handshake and, after but one more minute, Tiger goes two up. The third session starts as the others but this time Imtiaz is, understandably, very reluctant to allow Tiger to take him down. Unfortunately Imtiaz chooses to dive for Tigers leg. Tiger sees this coming and is quickly attempting to dominate again. This is a rather different round in so far as we have long held but constantly fluid holds as they vie for supremacy. Imtiaz even allows himself to smile now and then – I think he’s getting into his stride! Oh, no, I’m wrong again as Imtiaz taps a third time. This is not a rout though as Imtiaz is very competitive. I hope, and expect, to see him start to score soon. It takes another few minutes of entertaining tussling until Imtiaz is on the score sheet – that’s great. Another one would make this an even more intriguing battle. After a very brief round I have my wish as Tiger taps out again. These two are scrapping away with determination but without a foul move – so far. Although we are seeing action in a ring the expected different style is not forthcoming and everything is happening on the mat. Still, it is a good match which I’m sure you will enjoy. In the future I know there is intent to use a ring again and with pro-style action so if that’s your preference please stick around a while longer. How does the match play out? Callum v LC 1

This is the first “Wrestle4aFee” match for Callum although we do know him from a previous life before W4aF and from elsewhere – it’s good to see him again. The popular LC makes his third appearance for Wrestle4aFee but he too has been featured by others. This is a long match (over 45 minutes) and was filmed for a customer who requested it as you’ll see it. The wall clock verifies that it was filmed virtually straight through and there are no suspicious edits, the camera man is an excellent third participant in this piece of work. The lads are playing roles here and do so admirably. It’s worthy of note that there is mutual trust and respect between these two – you wouldn’t guess so from what you’ll see here – it’s well acted. So here we have it - a sort of “War of the Roses”. Callum is a Mancunian whilst LC hails from Leeds. Callum is the taller and heavier with the darker nearly black hair and, at the start, is wearing black tracksuit bottoms. LC is, therefore, slightly shorter and lighter, with close cropped brown hair and, as we open, he wears brown tracky bottoms. Whilst Callum is a couple of years the senior LC has more experience and, although Callum has a size advantage, LC is thickly muscled. From the start LC is aggressive and pushes Callum away as he proffers a hand shake. LC is straight in with the action and with the insults as he repeatedly calls his elder “boy” and is dismissive of his abilities as a wrestler – “is that all you’ve got?” and “you’ve got nothing”. We are not meant to like Lewy, yet somehow we do! Andy Warhol said that everyone will have “fifteen minutes of fame” – well that’s true of this first quarter hour. It’s a clinic as the cute but cruel Lewy gives poor Callum a real beating. OK, Callum stages a few counters but all are short lived and it looks as though Callum may, himself, be short lived! Lewy flexes and flaunts his impressive muscularity as Callum suffers superbly. A good squasher needs a good squashee and both parts and played to perfection. As Callum grabs Lewys limbs from time to time I think – yes, teach the teen tyke a lesson! It’s not to be. LC allows Callum only a few seconds on top before he’s back in control and dominating once more. It takes two to tango and don’t think Callum is sleeping on the job. He treats us to a symphony of sounds as he writhes about in agony. It’s sweet music too – this boy knows how to “sell”! After bravely enduring the pain Callum eventually succumbs to the teenage tearaway and retires, forlorn, to his corner of the room. In his corner LC hops from side to side eager to continue his reign. For the second part the boys slip off the tracksuit bottoms to give us a better view and a more professional appearance. Callum is every inch the handsome hero. Every inch, and a few inches more than he used to be but he wears it well. He also wears red cycle pants. LC has pink and green “Ripper”, ripped at the side, squares. The pace slows a tad in this chapter. As lovely LC continues to showboat and pose Callum suffers in silence relative to the first stanza. I miss the soundtrack and my natural empathy for the underdog wavers – “hurt him more Lewy”! Watch out for a cute pose from Lewy, as he applies a head scissors, coming up to the 5 minute mark and, shortly after, a few face and eye shots of Callum as he returns a few moves. Later, around 12:45, we have a nice standing shot of Lewy as he applies a leg lock. Into round three and LC loses the lycra to let us see dark grey/green briefs. Callum rids himself of the red and bares basic black. Simple but effective costumes for an even better professional look. If there’s a fourth round what will they show us? Callum v Matt, 1

Submission Wrestling, Match is 30 minutes duration and multiple submissions. This is the second “Wrestle4aFee” match for Callum and the first for Matt. The action takes place within a professional wrestling ring situated in an industrial unit but the action is more like a match on wrestling mats in terms of its style. This match is over 28 minutes long and was filmed over a number of rounds each of which ends with a submission. The camera man is in the ring with the wrestlers so the action is closely filmed. Callum wears plain read trunks (only) whilst Matt has blue “cycle pant” style shorts, black knee protectors and white trainers. I’m not sure why their attire differs as it seems inappropriate and unnecessary. These boys, however, appear well matched, good looking, and similar sized. Callum is possibly slightly the heavier and Matt slightly the taller but they are both chunky light heavyweights not slight pretty boys. The match starts with a quick handshake and then we’re off. The first couple of rounds are quick fire and score one for each competitor – these rounds also end with a handshake. This is a serious contest with no time to chat. There is no prologue and no posing or posturing – it’s action all the way. It is also waged sportingly so don’t look for a heel here. The wall is decorated with the catchy phrase “it takes pain to entertain” – you will be entertained! The close filming suits this style of action as the wrestlers keep to the mat for the entire match as they grapple back and forth. If you enjoy the more serious contests without showbiz razzmatazz then this is for you! How does the match play out? You’ll have to buy it to see! Imtiaz v Matt 1

Here we have match number three of the four matches filmed in the industrial unit ring. This is the second appearance here for both Imtiaz (who previously wrestled Tiger) and Matt (who previously wrestled Callum). Imtiaz is again clad in black & grey speedos whilst Matt maintains the blue “cycle pant” style shorts. Matt is very much the beefier boy, quite a bit heavier than Imtiaz – but Imtiaz won’t be fazed by that. This match is just over 23 minutes long and is decided by multiple submissions. The action, as mentioned, is within a wrestling ring and the cameraman is in amongst it for the duration. As the wrestlers meet in the centre for the first time they shake hands and, after a short “to and fro” session, Matt quickly shows superior strength by taking Imtiaz down to the canvas and into a body scissors. They stay down for about two minutes until Imtiaz taps out for the first time. The second session also starts with a handshake and Imtiaz takes the initiative very quickly and traps Matt’s right arm. It’s a quick comeback as Matt taps his surrender, after only 20 seconds or so. He looks a bit annoyed at having to do so! The third session has a bit more action involving a lot of rolling around. We see Matt grasp a rope which, with a referee in attendance, would have resulted in the hold being broken. No matter is it isn’t long before Imtiaz takes the victory here with a combined leg lock and splits – I think I’d give quickly too! Chapter four and Matt is on the advance. He goes behind for a waist hold and brings Imtiaz down on his back. Matt, also on his back, has Imtiaz in a head lock. The heavier man wisely keeps his body away from the long legs of the wiley Imtiaz for about as long as it took me to type that sentence. Callum v Matt 2

"Promission" Wrestling, Custom Match. The Match is 45 minutes duration and multiple submissions. This is the second meeting for Callum and Matt, it’s the first W4aF re-match and the action reverts from the pro-ring back into the regular mat room. The match is of fairly long sessions each of which ends with a submission. Unusually the boys start off in leather jackets, denim jeans and boots. I’m not normally a fan of “costume dramas” & I didn’t expect to enjoy it but I really warmed to it as it progressed. They remove the jackets almost immediately and before they hook up so, for that relief, much thanks! Now I don’t know what has happened since the last time they wrestled each other but the mood is significantly different this time. There is an air of tension right from the start and both men look very serious and determined. Callum looks almost sullen in the opening frames. As I noted for CvM1 these boys appear well matched, good looking, and similar sized chunky light heavyweights not slight pretty boys. They could almost be brothers. From the off the action is “enthusiastic” and aggressive with holds applied firmly and with vigour. Callum takes the advantage from the start as he keeps Matt on the mat in an arm lock for several minutes until, whimpering, Matt taps the first submission. A quick restart sees Matt getting his revenge as he gets Callum into a full nelson and reverses the pain. Matt takes Callum down and goes to work on his neck as Callum does his own whimpering getting louder and louder – this boy can really enunciate his discomfort. I would go as far as to say that Callum is one of the best sellers I have come across. Matt levels the score making Callum tap out at around 14 minutes. We’ve been able to concentrate on two admirable torsos so far. Admirable but not sculptured as these are “boy next door” hunks. From here on, however, they strip off their jeans & show us, equally admirable, muscular legs too. For the next period Callum goes down on his back leading Matt after him and applies a vicious triangle hold as he appears to be returning the favour of the neck work. Matt cries out in pain and, impressively, he is approaching Callum’s selling style. Matt taps and retreats to his corner. A later round sees Matt keep Callum down in a Boston crab for a good long time. Further action has Callum taking Matts arm between his strong legs causing Matt to reach his peak of selling and giving the camera opportunity to look Callum in the eyes. Thighs, eyes & cries to satisfy many I think! The sessions are each one sided with one wrestler dominating the action by concentrating on one body part and one hold. That description sounds a bit dry but, I can assure you, it is highly captivating. They relish each other’s ongoing distress and actually, and sadistically, increase the pressure as they cry out. Both boys give and take and treat us to great visual and audible performances I am impressed by this match and by these wrestlers. They work well together to deliver very hot determined and aggressive action. They really do look as though they dislike each other. They both have a good “look” with strong arms and legs and strong selling styles. If you enjoy the more serious contests without showbiz razzmatazz then this is for you! How does the match play out? Imtiaz v LC 2

Submission Wrestling, The Match is 30 minutes duration and multiple submissions. Here we are back in the “blue room” for the second match in a row that is a return match. This time we have the second meeting of Imtiaz & LC. Here Imtiaz returns for his tenth W4aF match and LC now makes sixth W4aF appearance to date. LC is in black speedos and Imtiaz sports orange squares. A reminder here that they have different body types with Imtiaz being tall and lean with LC being stocky and muscular. Again, we have a match over 30 minutes with multiple submissions and, again, the film starts with the wrestlers approaching centre and shaking hands. I think these two are fully aware of each other’s capabilities and I think I detect a hesitancy to engage at first. The first thirty seconds are spent with the boys standing and trying to (or trying NOT to) get a grip. After half a minute they go to ground with LC on top showing us his muscular back. Imtiaz gets free and there now follows another period of “shadow boxing” as the lads display their wariness again. LC gets Imtiaz back to canvass and slaps on an armbar which is effective in gaining him his first submission as Imtiaz taps at once. The second round also starts with a hand shake so perhaps we’ll see a good technical and sporting contest this time. Again we have a period of inertia as the boys, looking serious now, jostle for the lead. When they go to the mat they lock on reciprocating leg holds which, as may be expected, results in a stale mate. Imtiaz is heard to speak and it seems it was something amusing. I am not singling any one wrestler out so a request to all the wrestlers please – when you speak make sure it is load a clear enough to be heard. I am interested in what you have to say and, for many, a bit of a verbal exchange enhances the viewing experience. This session is very close and neither takes the advantage for very long. Eventually LC taps out to give Imtiaz the equalising submission. The third round starts with the usual handshake – are they keeping it clean folks? LC displays body language which, if I’m reading it correctly, says “I’ve had enough of the indecision”. He pulls his hands briskly away from several lock ups attempted by his tall opponent. LC, looking absolutely determined, places Imtiaz to the mat and applies what I think to be a very unorthodox head hold. Unorthodox it may be but effective it most certainly is as it gives LC the lead again. The next session, for me is the best period so far. LC takes Imtiaz down again but this time wraps him into an arm lock and holds it VERY firmly for a good while. The camera pans around the two bodies and both are nicely on show. Imtiaz lean torso and slender legs moving slowly as LC’s muscularity is immoveable. LC has a great physique that is well presented during this sequence. LC brings his strong legs into the game and bears down with his right knee onto Imtiaz’s arm but, inexplicably halts the move and stands. Now It is Imtiaz who takes a determined approach and treats LC to some arm work of his own. This is another good sequence showing the other side of the coin and this time LC taps out. This is a cat and mouse game and seems very even. I find myself in the orange corner now as I want to see Imtiaz take the initiative and, perhaps rile LC a little into aggression and error. Promission Wrestling, Custom Match, In the ring ! Welcome back to the venue near central Manchester known as “The Wrestling Factory”. This is the second match from this venue and we are in the ring for a prostyle 30-minute match between Callum in the blue corner & trunks and LC in the red corner and trunks The Match is 30 minutes duration and multiple submissions. A big difference for this meet up is the presence of a referee! Said referee also acts as MC and gives us an introduction to the match and to the two participants. There is, therefore, no need for me to give any more information along those lines. The first round opens with the ringing of a bell! A pleasant sound which also affirms the prostyle nature of this bout. The “collar & elbow’s” favour LC then Callum so perhaps that augers well for an even contest. The first mat action follows as Callum whips the feet away and puts LC on his back but is quickly thrust away by LC’s powerful legs. The following “test of strength” goes, probably unsurprisingly, LC’s way as he uses a sensible leg trip. Callum is bent backwards over his knee and then dropped to the canvas – freeze frame and slow-motion play may be used to good effect during that sequence! LC continues in the attack mode as he delivers a robust uppercut knocking Callum from his feet. LC equally robustly “helps”Callum up only to deliver a second uppercut with the same consequence for Callum. Next, Callum takes LC into a head lock and down to the mat. LC responds taking Callum into a head scissors. Adding pressure to his victim LC rolls forward doing a sort of handstand. Callum suffers a short while but then kicks himself free. A couple of speedy moves follow – a head mare, Callum over LC, and an arm drag the other way. Callum then takes the initiative and folds LC into a double Boston crab with the likely intent of weakening those thunder thighs a little. Perhaps this is a move done too early as LC powers out and tips Callum into the lower rope and is free once more. LC brings Callum back to canvas but, in a reversal of earlier action, Callum takes LC throws Callum with a suplex and may have caused him some pain. Callum returns the favour after another show of strength and a well placed kick to LC’s solar plexus. Callum follows through into some neck work and appears to be taking a breather whilst LC suffers. Surprisingly LC taps out. This has been a good strong, skilful opening exchange between two good looking and, clearly, skilled exponents. The 2nd session starts with a change of camera angle – the first time that has been employed I think – and with the referee offering a helpful reminder of the current score! LC starts the action with determination to not go down two submissions. He takes Callum face down and works his head and neck with an imaginative use of a headstand but Callum powers out into a standing position and gives LC a few blows to the stomach which earns him a blow to the back. LC takes his opponent down again this time holding Cullum’s arm between his tree trunk legs whist pulling his head up and back - this looks and sounds painfully effective. There are a few people in the factory and LC is heard to receive encouragement for his efforts. Fortunately for Callum a ropes break is called by the ref. LC furthers his work on Cullum’s arm but Callum reverses and gives a bit back – his turn to receive encouragement. Callum locks on another head scissors and calls “Ask him ref” but LC is not giving yet. In fact, his response is to reciprocate with his own head scissors putting the boys into a “69” position. The action is getting a bit heavier from LC as he is keen to level the score. A clumsy move sees him precipitated to the outside much to the referees’ amusement. Upon his return LC tries to get his heavier foe into a Boston crab – it’s not happening but some advice from a fan gives LC and idea and he "slingshots” Callum into a corner post. Thereafter LC fails to capitalise & Callum throws him to the ropes giving a clothes line and then a piggy back choke hold which morphs into a Japanese choke hold cum surfboard. Whatever it is it works and the handsome Callum is two subs up. Callum helps LC up and shakes hands. Part three and the camera reverts to position one. LC receives verbal support, advice and admonishment from the ring side. Both these boys are popular! LC takes the comments to heart and is showing signs of aggression as he backs Callum, twice, into the corners and twice is reluctant to break. “Carry on” warns a finger pointing Callum. Are things heating up? Well, yes, they are as, following a bit of shoving, LC employs a hair pull and goes in hard on Callum’s left arm. Callum brings his strong legs into play (one of which now shows a large graze) and takes LC into a head scissors. We then have a bit of to & fro action and some showboating from LC which seems to gain his opponent the support of the audience. LC continues to display irritability and dubious tactics during the remaining rounds. Note a piece of ferocious action around 22 minutes. This is a splendid even contest so far and it’s probably obvious that I have a great liking for these two lads. The excellent action continues until honours are even with the winning score coming in the final session. How does this story play out? You’ll have to buy it to see!
